Bridging and School

The girls and I set up the ballroom so we had a bit of time to play

How beautiful is this place!

My troop.

Last week we studied pointillism and it morphed into henna.

They just used paint, so it was fun and washed off easily.

 Marge's grammar and spelling

Mary E's vocabulary and grammar

Keeping track of books read.

We still bring out the cursive books once in a while.

CNN Student news is part of our every school day.

Both girls have finished math. Margaret has moved on to the next level, Saxon 6/7, and Mary Emma will work on Saxon Algebra 1/2 over the summer in preperation for beginning algebra 1 this fall. We plan on continuing school over the summer half days allowing ample time for camping, vacation, and beach time!

And we all could use a bit of phy-ed!

13th Birthday!

Mary Emeline is a teenager!

While I took the birthday girl out to the farmer's market and bake sale for breakfast, her sister and friend got a scavenger hunt ready.

Awww! Margaret got her a great sister cup.

scavenger hunt
in the garage attic.

I did not take a photo, but she also got her first ring. A beautiful garnet and two diamonds.

On the way to Rochester

Petco!

She bought more hermit crabs and accessories.

Then lunch

We all tried something different and shared.

Then home to tend the hermit crabs.

Some beach time.

Beach house opens next week. We got an early tour.

Looking out

Of course cake! Her fav, angel food with fresh strawberries and scads of homemade whip cream.

The night ended with a scream, literally! Bat in the house! Three girls, two dogs, two cats and a bat! It took a while, but we managed to get the little guy out of the house without too much damage.
