Thanksgiving

5:30 a.m. Bird is stuffed with oranges, apples, onions, and a bit of butter.

Setting the table with the Spode Mayflower and Czechoslovakian Bohemian wine glasses.


                                        Grandma arrives just in time for a head massage.

The dressing, NOT stuffing. Mom's recipe. More butter than you can imagine, white bread, sautéed onions, fresh sage, poultry seasoning, and celery seed. 


Best corn pudding ever. 
2.5 cups corn fresh/frozen
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
pepper
2 teaspoons flour
3 tablespoons melted butter
3 beaten eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
bit of cinnamon & nutmeg

Mix all and bake at in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish at 350 for 35 minutes.


Mom's mashed. Scads of butter &  heavy whip.

House made cranberries, but must have the tinned as well!
