Zydeco

This was our first experience with Zydeco, and it was a doozy! The local library sponsored Cedric Watson to perform a concert in Lake City. After watching some youtube videos of him, we were excited to hear the real thing but unprepared for the foot tapping spirit he induced! To a full house, he played with gusto, the accordion and violin, while his band mate played the washboard. They took the time to explain the history of the music and some of the songs, which are sung in Louisiana Creole French.
