Hunting for shark teeth at Brownie Beach, Chesapeake Bay, Maryland

It is no fun going to the sea with a broken arm, but this poor adorable nephew of mine was such a trooper....his cast was removed a few days after we returned from the beach, and his poor little arm was full of bug bites!!!!!

This is what our mornings looked like....good book, cup of coffee, and beautiful view!

One of the many shark teeth we found. Maybelle found 94 the first day.

My dear brother and his beloved canine companion.

Maybelle on the phone with her Papa

We went on a walk for Crohn's disease around the Tidal Basin....one of the cousins seven year old friends suffers from this and we walked on his team called "Walt's Rocket's" Our team lead the walk which was quite well attended, and we walked through the famous cherry trees, past the Lincoln memorial and the Franklin D. Roosevelt memorial. Afterward there was sandwiches, snacks, and live music.

This is Greta here, so you can see how many folks were behind us!

This was the half-way point of the walk....we started at the Washington Memorial as seen behind the girls.....it was a bit hot that day which may be why Maybelle looks a bit displeased.

Hair today gone tomorrow

Maybelle woke up yesterday with dreadlocks......she has been to the pool a few times....there was no way I was going to brush through THAT......so out came the shears, and off came the dreads!
She is so excited to be able to swim and shower without having to go through the torture of keeping all the tangles out of those curls!!!!!!
