Cherry Pie: From the tree to the table

We used this recipe:

1 Cup of sugar

3 tablespoons of cornstarch

4 cups of whole pitted cherries

3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon of almond extract

1/4 stick of butter cut into cubes


Pour into unbaked pie crust, top with lattice, sprinkle with sugar, bake at 375 until crust is brown and filling is bubbly.
