Cherry Pie!

Our neighbor has two cherry trees that they do not pick at all. With their permission, Margaret went over and picked a bunch.
She washed and pitted them.

Helped make a simple pastry with salt, flour, butter, a bit of sugar, and ice water.

We added sugar, lemon, and vanilla to the cherries.
